Why We Built This Site
Georgia provides several lawful routes to public criminal-record information, but those routes do not produce the same document. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office holds sheriff-created arrest, booking, jail, incident, and warrant information. The Wayne County Clerk of Courts maintains filed Superior, State, Drug, and Juvenile Court records, with juvenile access restricted. GCIC keeps the state's central fingerprint-linked criminal-history repository, while the Georgia Department of Corrections and Georgia Sex Offender Registry serve narrower corrections and registration purposes. The resource exists to make those boundaries, access steps, and official contacts easier to understand.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no affiliation to a Georgia court, sheriff's office, police department, county government, or state agency. Its role has clear limits:
- We cannot retrieve a criminal record or perform an official background check
- We cannot submit record restriction petitions, open-records requests, or other paperwork for a reader
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that an address, fee, telephone number, or agency procedure has not changed
Only the maintaining office, such as the Wayne County Sheriff, the proper court clerk, or GCIC, can issue or authenticate its official record.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by independent third-party providers. Those providers operate their own services, choose their prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports free public access to this resource. Wayne County Criminal History does not set the provider's charges or determine the contents of its results.
